Camping with a Subaru Impreza | Will it Camp?

Welcome to episode 1 of my new series called, Will it Camp? The premise of this series is to take ordinary and absurd "vehicles" and see how capable they are in the camping and off-roading scene. Watch this space as there are some cool and absurd vehicles in the pipeline! We start the series with this Subaru Impreza. Not many people know this, but this is my first car and still is my car. It has just been standing in the garage gathering dust. How better to test this new series with my own car. This Subaru is categorized as a sports car, but that will not stop me from camping! I took the Subaru into the Tankwa Karoo, but we took the scenic route. We drove over Katbakkies pass and entered the Tankwa Karoo from that side. We spent a night at Zwartkops Guest Farm before taking the easy way out o the Tankwa through Ceres. The roads we travelled on were in fairly good condition. We only had some minor issues entering the Zwartkops Guest Farm where we had to take it a little slower. The conclusion of this video: Is a Subaru Impreza practical to camp with? Why yes, yes it is. The symmetrical AWD system makes gravel driving comfortable and the vehicle has plenty of boot space. The only major concern we had was the ground clearance. Nothing a little spacer kit would solve. The tires are road-biased tires, so I would change them, this Subaru will be a very capable off-road camping machine!
