First home game of the season, Peterborough Sports being the visitors. Plenty of fans thinking we were going to be victorious. If it wasn’t for a missed penalty and a hatful of chances, they’d have been correct. Final result being 1-1. When you miss the chances we had and a keeper in fine form, then it always leaves that glimmer of hope for the opposition. So after taking a 1-0 lead early in the 2nd half and entering the final 10 minutes. Last thing you want to be doing is leaving a free header in the box, for Gash to head back across goal and them to get the equaliser. Not like it was the only chance they had either. They definitely left the happier of the two teams. Gave the 52 Sports fans something to cheer about. Team has to regroup, put into practice what they’re learning on the training pitch and take the chances created. Luckily we go again on Tuesday night against Darlington.
