Cattle Pass Tide Race Play on a 4 2 knot flood, 6-19-24

Some playtime in Cattle Pass on the trip from Washington Park in Anacortes to Friday Harbor with the Seattle Mountaineers. Relatively mild day with us getting to Mummy Rocks at about max flood and definitely a bit rusty. It's been a while since I was last surfing in a tide race and it's a bit different than on the coast when it comes to timing as you're getting pulled back to the wave and then have to accelerate. Still managed to get in a couple of rides...the best at the 3ish minute mark (change of music)...and also managed to get twisted sideways a bit. I opted out as we started bunching up. Everyone was skilled and while we were close, there were no incidents or real concerns, but better to thin the pack.
