Power of Play PVT LTD in partnership with Strengthening Reconciliation Processes in Sri Lanka (SRP) proudly presents Mahadanamuththa's modern golayas (disciples) video on the importance of being aware of FAKE news and communal harmony during a global pandemic. This is the third episode in a campaign for #genderequality​ and #racialharmony​ during and after the global pandemic of #COVID19​, which placed many households under an unprecedented amount of challenges that adversely affected lives of many women and children with an increase in domestic violence. We meet a married couple (Polbaa Muuni and Piyadasa) whose lives are interrupted by the news of their neighbour, Abdul Nana's daughter (who is a migrant labourer) returning to Sri Lanka. In their discussion, we explore some of the myths and fear factors related to returnees and understand that it is important to focus on facts and practice empathy without giving in to fearmongering.
