Without a doubt, Barbuda cast a strong spell over me. I have been fortunate to visit many islands in the Caribbean, but can say with confidence that Barbuda is absolutely one of my very favorites. The beauty, the beaches, the people, the peace and solitude, and just the spirit of overcoming difficult times are felt at every turn on Barbuda. It's a truly magical island that has to be experienced to be truly appreciated. Barbuda has experienced a lot of tough times recently, but I have no doubts that they will not only recover, but will also come back stronger and better than ever. I just hope that future changes and development will be done responsibly and with the permission of the Barbudan people, whom have owned this land for centuries, and are directly responsible (thankfully) for preserving one of most beautiful islands on the planet.
