On June 6, 2018, Forum Studios, Cineconcerts, and Orchestra Italiana del Cinema in partnership with Rotary International presented GLADIATOR LIVE a special End Polio Now fundraising event inside the historic Colosseum in Rome, Italy. Vocal soloist Lisa Gerrard and the Orchestra Italiana del Cinema with a 100 piece Choir conducted by Justin Freer performed the epic score by Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard while Ridley Scott iconic film was projected on a massive screen Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe attended the event and reunited with co-stars Connie Nielsen and Tomas Arana. With special guests including Italian football star Francesco Totti, actress, and Rotary Polio ambassador Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Celebrity chef Cristina Bowerman and more. More than $500.000 was raised for Polio eradication efforts. Some days later on June 8 and 9 over 7500 people enjoyed Gladiator Live at the ancient Circus Maximus and Russell Crowe surprised the audience at both performances. Thank you, Roma!
