His title defence opponent Gerald McClellan collapsed at the end of the super-middle weight boxing fight with a clot in his brain. Nigel Benn departed from London's Heathrow airport today after winning Saturday's boxing match against the American Gerald McClellan. Gerald McClellan is reported to be in stable but critical condition following an operation to remove a clot in his brain. The press besieged Benn at the airport as he checked in his for his flight to Los Angeles. He was repeatedly asked if he would retire from boxing. He said he just wanted to be left alone to contemplate his future but would not make any decisions until he knew whether McClellan would recover from his injuries. SOUNDBITE: Obviously you have that on your mind, you know, family, and me thinking about me and Gerald going into the ring and something happening to me because I'm not concentrating, you know. But I can't really say how I am going to feel until I know how he is, and it's like too much pressure, me being here...at the moment. I just wish him a speedy recovery. And me going away then I can actually say to myself, well, he's pulled through, he's better, then I can start predicting what I can do.
