Keeley: HYDRA Stereo Reverb & Tremolo

https://robertkeeley.com/product/hydr... I'll say straight up that this is my kind of pedal. Robert asked me in the late stages of the Hydra's emergence if there was anything I would change or didn't like about it and I can't think of a darned thing. The reverbs and tremolos are beautiful as is the mix-and-match functionality. Tremolo before reverb or reverb before tremolo? No probs. Kill dry? Yes. Stereo? In and out. Can I change the stereo field from mono to wet/dry to panning? Sure can. Trails? Yes. Extensive expression control? Yes. Presets? Yes: three. Tap tempo for the tremolo? Yes, and I'll demo that and other stuff in a supplementary video. But it's the sounds that floor me. So good. If you're considering a trem/verb pedal, you need to consider the Hydra. Wild fun. I know that people will want to know the signal path of this video so here's the deal. Guitar to input of Axe-FX III which is running a good old JTM45 model, fairly clean, to two late 60's 4x12 Greenback loaded cab IR's. Between the amp and cabs I routed an output, post-amp, to the mono input of the Hydra. From the Hydra I ran left and right outputs back to the inputs of the two IR's, panned left and right. This basically creates a stereo effects loop in a 1962 Marshall amp. For this video it was perfect because it retains the amp's tone, the pedal's tone (not being compromised by the front end of the amp) and the greenback cabs tone which is final and, thanks to panning, fully stereo.
