Neck lumps in general practice

Find out about what patient history is relevant when a patient presents with a neck lump, how to examine and investigate to diagnoses a neck lump, and when and how to refer a patient with a neck lump in this webinar with Dr Gideon Sandler. Dr Gideon Sandler is a dual qualified Adult and Paediatric Surgical Oncologist, Head and Neck Surgeon and General Surgeon and one of only a handful of surgeons who are fully engaged in the surgical treatment of cancer in both adults and children. He works at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, St Luke's Private Hospital, Westmead Hospital, the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and Westmead Private Hospital. He is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney. Dr Sandler did his adult and paediatric surgical fellowships in Australia and then post-fellowship training in Paediatric and Adult Surgical Oncology and Head and Neck Surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston Texas. As well as the full spectrum of general surgical conditions in both adults and children (including endoscopy and colonoscopy), Dr Sandler treats patients with melanoma and advanced non-melanoma skin cancer, including sentinel lymph node biopsy and lymph node dissection, thyroid and parathyroid tumours, salivary gland tumours, extremity and retroperitoneal soft tissue sarcoma, and solid organ malignancies of childhood. Dr Sandler is active in melanoma, sarcoma, thyroid and paediatric cancer MDTs across Sydney. He has published and presented his research nationally and internationally. He has authored numerous scientific publications and book chapters in adult and paediatric cancer and is engaged in ongoing research as part of a number of international teams.
