On "My Car Story" we're at the 30th Annual Indian Uprising All Pontiac Weekend @ the Holiday Inn in Crystal Lake, IL on 8-6-21. We're looking at the REAL Monkeemobile, A modified 1966 Pontiac GTO in Red Paint. The car comes with the factory 389 CI V8 engine, and an automatic transmission. Originally built by Dean Jeffries in 1966, and today the car's being shared by Tony Rota of Log Cabin Auto Service. Tony shares the car was in Australia, then in Puerto Rico as a taxi, and then purchased more than 30 years ago and restored to what you see today. The goal is to keep the car as original to what was seen in the TV show as possible.
