COASTAL FORAGING | ABALONE (ORMER) FORAGING

This was the first allocated ormering tide of February 2021. With a low tide of 1.5m it meant i could go foraging for ormers. Being new to this, each trip is a learning curve and it's interesting to see which creatures you come across. The temperature on this day was -1 with a wind chill of -8! There was an easterly wind which was blowing at 25-30mph. These conditions were at times, not the most pleasant to be out in. I was able to come across some of these interesting creatures. Many were undersize, however, i found a few which were keepers.
