This weekend was fun and very muddy. We used the winch to pull out a bronco, and there were lots of other recoveries. You'll have to check out Matt Brodie's Video over at Simply Must Go This was the first time taking Project Rampage out in some pretty deep mud. From watching rigs take on the Offroad Obstacle Course, and Night rides, to meeting so many awesome people and seeing so many cool overland builds; this event is really growing! There was plenty of Muds, Boggs, ruts, and trails to adventure down. We got to meet so many awesome folks at a Brand New Event right outside Charleston, SC Called Overland South! Have you ever seen a megladon tooth in real life? What about a Forward Control Jeep? Maybe a Unimog? I hadn't seen many either until this weekend. We had lots of time to step away and ride trails and share in the adventures. It's always great to hang out in a community of likeminded outdoor enthusiasts! This was our first trip to this event, and it's brand new. This was only the second time.year at the Southeast Adventure Vehicle Expo. And first time with Project Rampage. We spent the last two months building Rampage, and it was cool to see everyone who came out to the event! It was also great to see all the new overlanding gear from so many companies. There are so many tent options, truck options, trailer options, and gear that just make living out in the wild much more comfortable. We got to meet up with lots of folks! It was super cool that Rob Featured us on his channel with Snorkel Upgrade! My Build: Suspension: It took me a little over a year to select the right kit for my Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, and it really controls the ride even when fully loaded! For my personal setup, I chose to go with the ‪@ClaytonOffRoad‬ 3.5" Overland Plus Kit. They have a great reputation. James was super helpful when deciding between the HD Springs or the Normal Springs. I'm extremely happy going with the HD springs and know that I'll be able to fully load the Gladiator out in the future with the load carrying capacity to grow! I also went with the ‪@GoRanchoSuspension‬ RS9000XL Shocks. I've driven the Jeep now for about 5,000 miles, and the Rancho Clayton Combo is really spot on. I'm cruising around city and gravel roads on as little as setting 3 front and rear currently, although you can jump back up to level 4 or 5. The Great thing about the Rancho Shocks is you have 9 different levels to play around with to find the best ride for you at a budget price! I'd love to install a full set of the Rancho RockGear in the future. My tools and off road jack travel with me on my trips as added insurance.
