So yeah, I finally beat Unalloyed Malenia, an absolute behemoth of a modded bossfight and easily one of the hardest modded bosses I've ever faced. She took me 27 hours to beat and I'm not sure how many days later it will take me to nohit her. But anyway, here are the changes the mod makes to Malenia that made insanely hard for even people who had mastered the vanilla fight. (Copasted the modpage & edited): 1. Malenia got a lot of new animations, incl. her cut animations, and other enemies from ER, Sekiro and BB (Lady Maria) 2. Malenia now has full immunity to Scarlet Rot and Poison, and takes 50% less damage from Hemorrhage and Frostbite, Defense against all damage on phase 1 is increased, on phase 2 is the same as in vanilla, but her HP is reduced by 14% 3. A lot of changes to Malenia's AI. She has a lot of new combinations, cancels opportunities, and can also dodge melee attacks 4. Waterfowl Dance can now transition into other WFD animations, Malenia will be less likely to let you run away from the Dance and more likely to create situations that will require you to perform point blank dodges. 1st Vanilla WFD sequence is not changed in any way, and requires the same mechanical performance as Vanilla, the 3rd jump of the Waterfowl Dance (with which she now completes the cycles of dances) has become much more accurate. Regarding the Waterfowl Dance, she's added new animations for getting into the Waterfowl Dance stance with them and there's also an element of a non-obvious way to dodge. 5. Malenia now has a mini-phase of the Great Rune (Valkyrie Phase) in Phase 1, Malenia accumulates the charge of the Great Rune, when it reaches its maximum, Malenia will temporarily receive its blessing. (Inaccessible once she enters the Goddess Phase). Malenia in this phase gains some abilities referring to her loyal knights. 6. Scarlet Rot in the Goddess of Rot phase has become much more dangerous and almost unavoidable, now this phase almost forces you to use armor / immunity boosting talismans 7. The Goddess of Rot phase is now built around Malenia's three blooms, as she loses health Malenia will use Scarlet Aeonia, with each bloom Malenia becomes stronger, gaining new abilities and mechanics And after the third, she'll reach her peak of strength..... *This is a metaphorical embodiment of the Scarlet Aeonia description. 8. Most importantly... If the Tarnished has completed Millicent’s quest.... a surprise awaits after she is defeated. 9. A lot of changes to various attacks, there is no point in describing them all, many attacks have become more accurate, some faster, some got Hyperarmor 10. Normal NG+ cycle scaling has been reworked. There's now a single 15% increase in hp/damage for ng+, which stays the same for ng+2 and beyond. This rework only affects Malenia bossfight. This is an insane challenge but at the same time there are moments where I had fun with the mod, especially during the parts where I tried figuring out how to deal with the Phase 2 Waterfowls as well as that one "Waterfowl Frenzy" she does after her Valkyrie phase runs out of time. Considering this run is just a solo run, I tend to make some blunders, especially my first Waterfowl Dodge in 2nd Phase, which could’ve ended badly. And yeah, the hitless run would be coming soon. The first to beat Unalloyed Malenia solo other than the creator was BDBrian, then the 2nd would be by Ongbal. So that would make me the 3rd soloer.
