The Kidnapping - Part 9 (DM-less Table Setup)

Trying out a simple solo-play d6 dice mechanism for resolving some events within a long running D&D 5e campaign. All dice rolls are unedited for authenticity and I do not shoot multiple rolls off-camera to get the outcome I want. These "off-table" results involve both PC's and NPCs and might eventually lead to "on-table" sessions - either in solo-play format, DM-less play or with players. The dice should provide much of what a DM might conjure in preparation for such sessions. Bear in mind that this process will create quite a few spoilers for the viewer. The player (or players) will have to mind their metagaming. Apologies for dropping you in without a full briefing! But I think you will catch on fast enough. 00:00 A blank slate 00:27 Placing the first enemy (Alhoon) 00:55 Placing the ballista and crew 02:28 Trying to place some gnolls 03:38 Placing the rock pile and incomplete wall 04:45 Placing some trees 05:14 Placing a stone wall forward 05:40 Trying to place two pesky gnolls 06:27 Trying to place a cave opening 06:41 Placing more trees 07:11 Tabletop drive-by cutscene 07:43 Trying to place the cave opening 08:18 Adding the "Maybe-Killer" die 08:51 Lost gnolls cutscene 09:00 Placing an overturned cart 09:36 Trying to place a roadside fence 10:03 Placing more trees 11:08 Trying to place a structure 11:38 Placing a wall section 12:09 Placing the final trees 13:55 Placing the lost gnolls 14:28 A small tree adjustment 14:54 The table is ready! 15:06 Reverse-angle drive-by cutscene 15:22 Stinger cutscene :) Please leave comments if you have great ideas for future questions to ask.
