My 1978 Yamaha XT500

Every time an XT500 has appeared for sale, I have been too late to buy it. When this one appeared in the middle of winter, I bought it without looking at it. Seems to be a pristine 1978 Yamaha XT500 with matching numbers. I am very happy with the bike! I've replaced a bunch of parts, mostly bolts and nuts and done a lot of electrical work, but there's still a lot left on my wishlist. Would like to change rims and maybe the fork to get disc brakes. But first I of all I want to repaint the tank and get the correct decals. Probably I will replace the side covers and front fender with white ones to get it all white.
