Die Strandloper in Langebaan South Africa (West coast of south africa) is one of the most unique food experiences we have ever had. Offering a 10 course meal is something out of this world and we were wondering how could we ever finish a 10 course meal! Die Strandloper means 'beach walker'. The reason for this name is when the British sailors sailed to southern Africa and stopped on the beaches, they would meet 'Die Strandloper' who is the translator between the Khoi-San people of Africa and the British. This restaurant has no roof and barely any kitchen. You sit on a beach, with fires all around you, cooking all sorts of amazing dishes. This is a food experience that we will never forget.
