Tindevegen is a seasonal asphalted mountain pass road, approx. 1 May - 1 November, between Turtagrø in Luster municipality and Øvre Årdal in Årdal municipality. The mountain road from Øvre Årdal to Luster is a so-called SA and is run by a board with representatives from Årdal and Luster. It is charged with tolls at the automatic toll station at Berdalsbandet, which is the road's highest point, 1,315 meters above sea level. You can only pay by card at the toll station. The Tindevegen forms part of the shortest land connection between Bergen and Trondheim and is a popular tourist route with a short distance from the Sognefjorden to the peaks of Jotunheimen.
