Sven Kirsten wrote the Book of Tiki in the year 2000. It forever changed the way that I looked at art, architecture, and music. If you haven't read the Book, I would strongly suggest that you begin your tiki education right there. Sven recently collaborated with Trader Vic's to produce a small book and mug that celebrates a very special style of tiki which was seen at the entrance of many legendary tiki places. To make the the drink in the video you will need: -------------------------------------- 1/2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice 1/2 oz fresh squeezed orange juice 1/2 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice 1 dash (1/4oz) grenadine 2 dashes (1/2oz) creme de cacao 2 dashes (1/2oz) orange curacao 1 oz Italian vermouth 1 oz 151-proof Demerara rum 1 oz 123-proof rum (Havana Club) -------------------------------------- Combine in shaker tin with small ice cubes. Shake vigorously. Pour everything into a 'Ten Pin Pilsner' glass and fill with extra ice.
