Comeback Kid, a hardcore punk band, released their second studio album, Wake the Dead. In Canada, Smallman Records handled the release, while Victory Records handled international distribution. The recording was made by Bill Stevenson over the course of 13 days in the Blasting Room in Fort Collins, Colorado. The album's title track, "Wake the Dead," first appeared in the soundtracks for the videogames Burnout Revenge and Burnout Legends. The album peaked at position #16 on the Top Heatseekers chart and position #27 on the list of the Top Independent Albums.
