Review of the Triumph Tiger 800 XRT 2019 which was very kindly lent to me by the guys at Laguna Motorcycles in Maidstone https://www.laguna.co.uk/ I’ve been keen to have a go on the Tiger 800 for quite a while as it is similar to my daily ride (V Strom 650XT) while having more power and more tech behind it. I’m pleased to say the Triumph Tiger 800 XRT exceeded my expectations. Seating position on the Triumph Tiger 800 is upright and relaxed. A commanding position that affords good vision of the road and traffic around you. The seating position coupled with comforts such as heated seat, grips and cruise control make the tiger 800 a bike that you could ride for a long time without becoming fatigued. The Triumph Tiger 800 has more than enough power for what it is made for. A great motorway cruiser, city traffic negotiator and is even capable of some fun in the twisties. 2up travel on the Tiger 800 would also work well, the pillion also has a heated seat which is a nice touch. Overall I really did love the Triumph Tiger 800 XRT. So much so that I regret not looking at it more when I picked up the V strom. The V strom is great and a bike I love however the Tiger 800s increase in power and tech would make it a fantastic daily. List price of the Triumph Tiger 800 XRT is £12,300 with the XR Version starting at £9,200.
