Normal chucks have a set screw down inside the throat to remove the chuck but these type need to be unscrewed from the shaft while it's being held tight. I show you how to do this safely and to avoid damaging your gearbox. Should work with any drill that takes these screw-on type chucks, Makita, Milwaukee, Hitachi, Hikoki, AEG, Bosch etc. May also work with DeWalt DCD991, DCD996, DCD771, DCD796, DCD998, or any other model that doesn’t have a set screw.
