This SIERRA COSWORTH sold for over £500,000! Silverstone Auction

Welcome back all, In this video I attend Silverstone auction at Race Retro show in Coventry. With over 300 cars going under the hammer over the weekend, I had to choose wisely when recording this video! I start the video by showcasing many of the competition cars, then moved onto the "collectors sale" which consisted of a variety of classic cars. I really liked the lay out of the cars at this auction & the catalog was very informative. The auction itself was slightly on the slow side with breaks of 10-15 seconds of silence whilst the auctioneers stared at the phone bidders. This did slightly put me off watching the whole auction unfold as I found it didn't flow as well as other auctions I've attended. There was some amazing hammer prices including THAT Sierra Cosworth RS500 which fetched £596,250!!! I wish I was there to experiance the atmosphere but there were many other parts of Race Retro that I was busy exploring. A handful of the cars sold for "world record prices", this is something I've never whitnessed at a classic auction before!
