Doctor explains PENIS CANCER | Symptoms, causes and treatment

In this video Doctor O'Donovan explains key things you need to know about PENILE CANCER including signs symptoms, causes and treatment. We also will cover investigations and what happens when you go to see your doctor. What is penile cancer? Penile cancer is a rare cancer in the UK. It happens when abnormal penile cells grow in an uncontrolled way. It can develop anywhere on the penis but is most common under the foreskin in men who haven't been circumcised or on the head of the penis (the glans). Potential symptoms of PENILE CANCER: According to Cancer Research UK the symptoms of cancer of the penis can include: - a growth or sore on your penis - bleeding or a foul smelling discharge - a rash on your penis - difficulty pulling back your foreskin - a change in colour of your penis or foreskin IMPORTANT: Many of these symptoms are very common and can be caused by different conditions. Having them does not definitely mean you have cancer. But it's important to get them checked by a DOCTOR. This is because if they're caused by cancer, finding it early may mean it's easier to treat.
