#REHIYONDIYES Region 10, also known as Northern Mindanao, is composed of five provinces: Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental. The region is located in the northern part of Mindanao Island and is bordered by the Bohol Sea to the north, neighboring regions 9, 12, and 11, and the waters of the Philippine Sea to the east. The people of Region 10 are ethnically diverse, with most of them belonging to the Bisaya, Maranao, and Higaonon tribes. The region has a rich culture that showcases traditional dances such as the Tinikling and Bukidnon tribe's Malakas, and their festivals include the Kadayawan which celebrates the harvest season, and the Kaamulan Festival in Malaybalay, Bukidnon, which highlights the indigenous tribes' art, music, dance, and agricultural practices. When it comes to food, the region's cuisine is a mix of Filipino, Spanish, and Muslim influences. Some of the popular dishes include Satti, a Muslim dish of grilled chicken or beef served with rice, and Kinilaw or kilawin, a raw fish salad that uses vinegar or calamansi for its sour taste. Other favorites are Lechon, which is a roasted pig, and pastel, a savory pie with a flaky crust filled with chicken, beef or pork. The region is also known for its sweet delicacies such as bibingka, binaki, and budbud kabog.
