These are the fifth set of earbuds we’ve reviewed on the channel, but the Skullcandy Grind has a few secret ingredients to keep it ahead of the competition. Let’s take a look at what that is. Out of the box you’ll find the charging case with earbuds inside as well as a USb-C charging cable Now, when it comes to Skullcandy products, you’re always assured of two things. They look great, but they always feel a little too plastic-ey. Despite their feel, they’re rated IP55 for sweat and water resistance. The charging case boasts a little over 3 whole charges adding 31 hours to the 9 already held by the batteries inside the earbuds. Like most earbuds, you’ll connect to a compatible device via Bluetooth 5.2. With Skullcandy Grind Bluetooth 5.2 And if you download the Skullcandy app, there’s a whole host of integrated features that we’ll cover a little later. One added bonus to each earbud is built-in tile finding tech. Lose your earbuds somewhere and you can “ring” it from the Tile app, meaning you’ll never lose an earbud again. A long-press on the touch control activates Active Noise Cancellation to tune out the outside world. A second long-press switches to “Awareness Mode” so you can rock out to your favorite tunes, but still have situational awareness. Another cool feature is Skullcandy’s Skull-IQ Smart Voice Control technology. Matt – “Hey Skullcandy, call Gary for me” With the Skull-IQ you’ve basically got an assistant in your ear, able to perform a whole range of tasks at the sound of your voice.
