Zelda: A Link to the Past - Dark World Theme - Synth Cover (Yamaha CS1x, MX49, Korg Minilogue)

It wasn't intentional, but Link is always wearing green, so this is appropriate for Saint Patrick's Day, isn't it!? I guess he really doesn't want to get pinched! I really like the 8 and 16 bit Zelda games, and this is probably my favorite theme from Link to the Past, so I finally got around to making a cover of it! I had a hard time getting the synth strings to have that sound like on the original game but I dusted off my old CS1x and I think it did the trick! In all honesty the original song sounds pretty bad in a cool way, with the samples sounding really lo-fi throughout the whole game. I wanted to keep that vibe in this cover but I also didn't want my cover to actually sound bad lol I also acquired a new-to-me Korg Minilogue and think it fit in really good for this track! I didn't want to just have the song sound like an orchestra or just higher quality samples than the SNES version, so I went kind of nuts with some of the synth sounds. I hope you guys like it and thanks for checking it out! Now, where did I put my green beer, anyway...
