Can My Kid Ride a Black Tech Trail at Panorama Bike Park? | Stiffy

It didn't take long to realize that the difficulty rating of downhill MTB trails in BC are on a different level. We have ridden black rated trails in other parts of Canada, but it seemed that once we crossed the border into BC, things escalated quickly. We had ridden green and blue trails for most of the day at the ‪@panoramaresort‬ Bike Park, and the blue tech trails were quite challenging. They were surprisingly steep with some pretty  spicy rocky and rooty sections. My  wife and boys were still able to manage, but it was definitely testing their riding ability (and mine). At the end of the day my wife Michelle and youngest boy Spencer decided to call it quits. My other son Brighton figured we could get one more ride in before the lifts closed. The plan was to ride Stiffy which was considered the most challenging blue trail at the Panorama Bike Park. Once we got to the staging area we were surprised to see that the sign showed it as black. Trailforks confirmed that it had been upgraded due to some recent feature changes. I asked Brighton if he wanted to give it a try. He nervously said yes and we headed down.
