Looking for a job? The best Entry Level career path - Project Management

Hi Everyone! In today's video, I'll share more about why I think Project Management is a good career choice for a recent college grad, anyone looking to shift or pivot their career, expand their skills or is in a dead-end job and wants a pathway out. I'll review important information like: 1. Career and Job Growth in Project Management - PMI says this will grow to over 22 new million jobs by 2027 2. All the different industries you can work in - construction PM, healthcare PM, IT PM, tech PM, software, hardware, consulting, law, etc. 3. No additional special industry knowledge or education needed. Project Management is all about the skills you bring to the table - many skills that you probably already use in your day-to-day life. Plus, there are many certifications offered already in project management like CAPM, Google Project Management Professional Coursera and PMP. 4. The median starting wage is $48,000 for entry-level positions in the US. And that only goes up from there! Given, the median household income in the U.S. is $68,000 this is pretty good money! 5. There are ample growth career paths in project management: project coordinator, project manager, senior project manager, project director and more! Plus, you could use these skills to go into consulting or even start your own business. 6. You will get exposure to many different kinds of jobs and roles. Even if long-term, project management isn't the best fit for you or you want to do something different, this gives you a chance to work and learn about other jobs, allowing you to pivot more easily later. 7. You can gain meaningful experience and transferable skills like: communication skills, people management, identifying and handling risk, how to meet a deadline, how to create and manage a budget, how to divide a large goal into tangible tasks. All of these skills become a framework for any other job you might want in the future. Ultimately, I believe that if you don't know what career path you want, what to do with your degree and need a job, you should consider looking into project management roles (if they interest you!)!
