Simms G4 Pro Waders vs. Patagonia Rio Gallegos Zip Front Waders - Both are Pro-Grade waders that I have used for several years now. See how they compare! Are they worth the money? - If you are a guide that spends hundreds of days on the water a year, they are a must-have. Having owned the Simms G4s and the Patagonia Rio Gallegos Zip Front waders, I can tell you that they are both high end waders and are quite different in a lot of ways. For starters, these fly fishing waders ring up at $749 for the Simms G4 Pro Waders and $499 for the Rio Gallegos Waders without a zipper and $599 for the Rio Gallegos Waders with a zipper. Unfortunately, the G4Z, Simms' guide waders with a zip front are not available in my size (XLLong), so I went with the G4s. I have to say, if you can get waders with a zip front, do yourself a favor and get them! Zippers are a life-saver!
