**UPDATE** Scarpa also tested these boots and agreed there was an issue. They sent me replacements. I tested them and they were dry after at least 12 hours. Scarpa responded politely and efficiently and the new boots are good. I have worn them outside and there is no leaking. - Than you Scarpa. ***UPDATE** I got a new pair of Scarpa Mistrals GTX. Before using them I decided to test them for waterproofness. This is the second of two tests. There is another video for the LH boot on this channel. Scarpa tell me they expect the boots to be capable of standing in a basin of water for 24 hours and remain dry inside. While this boot withstood an hour and a half immersed in water (remaining dry inside), it became vey wet inside after a 13 hour test. I would say that this boot would actually be okay for general use. I don't think walking in wet grass, some puddles, and rain would actually cause water to penetrate. But it does fail the producers' standard in my opinion. (Note: The LH boot failed much more dramatically by becoming saturated within one hour)
