Well pilgrims, I'm not gonna lie to you, the famous Pilgrim Menu is not well, great. In fact, it often gets kinda boring and bland IMO. But that's ok, we can all still be grateful it exists, we can also use work arounds to make it better! I know often in the groups people rave about everything, heaven forbid someone critique an albergue, warn of bedbugs at a certain location, critique the food on offer or note how they were treated by a hospitalero ...do this once in an effort to give a heads up to future peregrinos, no matter how honorable your intention, and risk ridicule and a public spanking (or have the post removed altogether). But I need to keep it real, especially for the newb! The Camino, despite all the romantic notions it evokes, is not all wine and roses, um...I mean poppies, and that's ok! After all, it's a pilgrimage! I also understand everyone is different and have different tastes and opinions (and diets), these are just mine. That said, if you have a similar take on the food offered on the menu, these are some easy tips, and tricks to get you thru that worked well for me!
