loose urban sketching for beginners.ink and watercolor Hello friends, good day. Today I've brought an urban painting, I hope you'll enjoy my painting. Today I have published the reference photo inside the video. I have also shared the name of the photographer of the photo and a link where you can download the original reference photo and see more photos from the photographer in the description. I am very, very grateful to the photographer for capturing this excellent image. Well, you probably know that when drawing a painting from a reference, first of all you need to look at everything in a general way and that you have to convert everything into simple geometric shapes. I first sketched the overall outline with a pencil, without details, and then added details like windows and people. There were a lot of details in the building and in the environment. But I didn't include all those details in my painting. Because they were not at all clear and were very distant and vague, especially the people sitting outside, their image was very vague and distant. So I also painted their image in a very general way, away from the details. The rear building had three rectangular shapes, where I drew the two rectangular shapes that were in front of us, and I preferred to sketch the third shape on the right side that was moving away from us and going very far back without details, and I even considered a blind spot and very slightly, I put a very thin layer of color. I only drew one restaurant and preferred that the front restaurant not be in my painting. Anyway, this is your painting. It is always your decision when you draw from a place or use a reference, to choose which parts you want to include or which parts you want to delete, or even which parts you don't want to color at all and leave white! Everything depends on your feeling. Regarding the coloring where I used watercolors. I again layered the colors. The front building was completely white. I also used a very dilute layer of a mixture of cadmium red and ultramarine blue. Rather than using a color palette to blend the watercolor paints, I preferred to use the paper itself, applying the colors with a brush directly on the paper and allowing them to mix on the surface. As for the coloring of the people, as I mentioned, they were very distant and quite indistinct, so I limited myself to simply coloring the surface of the hair, clothes, chairs, and dark shadows under the table. In the image, the car's front part was not referenced, it was very dark and in the shadows. I also colored it in a dark color, and for the brighter areas, I used the whiteness of the paper. And to show the brighter parts, I also colored some areas very lightly. Thank you for watching my video. I hope you enjoyed it. I hope you also start painting soon. Basically, my goal with painting is to reach a good feeling. The truth is, when I come home from work, I quickly go to my painting desk, embrace my painting supplies, and start drawing a quick painting in the shortest possible time 🧡🌌😀. In fact, I can say that I have taken refuge in painting 🌌. I really think that without art, life would be very boring. Now that art can be any branch of art, painting, music, sculpture, or anything. Don't be too hard on yourself. Start. This style of painting can really boost your self-confidence a lot. Over time, your painting progresses and your level goes higher and higher, and you can gradually depict any image. Wishing you all the best. Have a very good day.
