Riding Through the Remote Karoo - Our First Crash & Major Struggles Man, this is a wild ride! We just left Prince Albert and hit the gravel roads through the farms in the remote Karoo. The deep sand is giving us a hard time - the bikes are slipping and sliding all over the place. About 10km out, Cissy hit a patch of really loose, deep, soft sand and the bike went out from under her - her first crash! Her bike is a little banged up but lucky she was ok. Cissy fell over a few more times a couple of km later. Werner got his bike stuck in a sand dune - we had to get off and push. The views are absolutely stunning though. The wide open plains and rocky hills make all the struggling worth it. An adventure we'll never forget! We can't wait to see what this adventure has inshore for us next!
