In the year A.C. 175, the MS evolved into a groundbreaking mobile weapon based on the Tallgeese, but several engineers who were at the core of the Tallgeese development left OZ to develop even higher performance mobile suits. These five engineers gathered to develop a mobile suit that would use technology and materials that did not yet exist, including the cutting-edge material known as "Gundanium". The resulting machine was the Wing Zero, which was designed to transcend the limits of the pilot and was equipped with an interface that made it a fearsome weapon. The Wing Zero could transform into a Neo Bird Mode, allowing for high-speed cruising, and its Twin Buster Rifle had the power to destroy a space colony in a single shot. The head unit of the Wing Zero is a combination of various sensors, but it does not have any head Vulcan Guns. The chest unit contains the main generator and a cockpit that includes the built-in ZERO System. The ZERO System was what the five engineers feared most because it forced the pilot to achieve the "perfect victory". The five engineers were afraid of the excessive destruction coefficient of the Wing Zero, so they suspended its development and sealed its design data. However, they eventually developed five unique Gundam mobile suits that were derived from the Wing Zero. In A.C. 195, Quatre Raberba Winner, one of the five Gundam pilots who carried out Operation Meteor, broke the seal and was able to build the Wing Zero, which had been impossible to build at the time of its design.
