All of the five Supermen are playable characters at some point. Death and Return of Superman is a comic book story arc that served as the catalyst for DC Comics crossover event of 1993. The premise is as simple as the title: Superman enters combat with a seemingly unbeatable monster called Doomsday in the streets of Metropolis. As outcome of the battle, both combatants die.
