今年の全国高校総合文化祭郷土芸能部門は、鹿児島県奄美大島の奄美文化ホールで開催された。 台風6号の奄美大島接近のため、芥川高校和太鼓部の当初の発表予定だった7月31日が1日休みになり、8月1日に延期された。 演奏曲の「咲くやこの花」では過去、文化庁長官賞1回（2014年）、優良賞1回（2017年）を受賞しており、芥川高校では伝統曲となっており、今回（2023年）は2回目の優良賞となる。 「咲くやこの花」は大阪岸和田の「だんじり祭り」の1日を描きます。 だんじり祭りは300年以上続く、歴史と伝統を誇る祭りです。毎年9月に行われ、祭りのクライマックスは重さ4トンのだんじりが高速で曲がり角をターンする「やり回し」です。その迫力とスピードは他に類を見ません。重いだんじりが疾走するので、事故で大けがをすることもあります。だからこそ「やり回し」に伝説が生まれます。男たちは新たな伝説を作るため、命がけで街を駆け抜けます。この曲は祭りの朝、晴れ舞台に向かう男たちと「どうか無事に」と火打石を打って送り出す女たちの心情から始まります。 This year's National High School Comprehensive Cultural Festival for Local Performing Arts was held at the Amami Bunka Hall on Amami Oshima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture. Due to the approach of Typhoon No. 6 to Amami Oshima, the Akutagawa High School taiko drumming club's originally scheduled presentation on July 31 was cancelled for one day and postponed to August 1. The performance piece, "Sakuya Konohana," has received one Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award (2014) and one Award of Excellence (2017) in the past, making it a traditional piece at Akutagawa High School, and this (2023) will be the second time it has received the Award of Excellence. Sakuya Konohana" depicts a day in the life of the Danjiri Festival in Kishiwada, Osaka. The Danjiri Matsuri is a festival with over 300 years of history and tradition. The climax of the festival, which takes place every September, is the "Yariwari," in which danjiri, each weighing 4 tons, make a high-speed turn around a corner. The power and speed of this event is unparalleled. Because of the speed of the heavy danjiri, accidents can result in serious injury. That is why the "Yarisawashi" is legendary. The men run through the city risking their lives to create a new legend. This song begins on the morning of the festival, with the men heading for the big day and the women sending them off with flint stones, wishing them "please be safe.
