STAR TREK: THE EXPERIENCE "Battles" Video from the Attraction Entrance

#StarTrektheExperience #LasVegasHilton #StarTrekThemePark Back in late 1996, I was hired by Landmark Entertainment to edit all of the videos which would play in the STAR TREK EXPERIENCE, which would open in early 1998 at the Las Vegas Hilton. In addition to all of the Museum videos I created, I was tasked with creating the videos which played on the Giant video screens which greeted all guests at the entrance of the attraction. My philosophy was to try and encompass the overall feeling of the entire franchise at the time...and on a more personal level, try and covey what Star Trek meant to me personally. For this "Battles" video, David De Vos, my boss at the time, wanted to step in and edit the piece. I provided him the raw footage and we worked together creating this video. Dave also directed the Live Action material which played on the bridge view screen, which we shot during the production of the DEEP SPACE NINE episode "Soldiers of the Empire." My work on the Experience lead directly to me writing and directing FREE ENTERPRISE, which starred William Shatner himself.
