It's is a Romanian Patriotic song that appeared during the revolutionary events of 1848. In 1848, Transylvania was under the rule of the Austrian Empire. Hungary, also under the same Habsburg rule and they decided to proclaim its independence. The Hungarians from Transylvania, seeing Hungary's attitude, wanted to unite Transylvania with Hungary. They declared in the Diet that in Transylvania there is only one nation, the Hungarian one. Ignoring the wishes and protests of the other nations in Transylvania (the Romanians and the Saxons). In these conditions, a civil war was reached, forming two opposing camps. On one side were the Hungarians from Hungary and Transylvania, who wanted the formation of the Great Hungary, and on the other side were the Austrians who saw their Empire threatened and the Saxons and Romanians who saw their national being threatened. The fighting between the two camps begins in the summer of 1848 and and it will end in the summer of 1849, when the Hungarian army and insurgents are defeated by the Austrian-Russian troops who benefited from particularly important help from the Romanians, especially the Romanians led by Avram Iancu, from the Apuseni Mountains. ●▬▬▬▬▬✦⋆Română⋆✦▬▬▬▬▬● ''Marșul lui Iancu'' a fost scris de George Barițiu. Este un cântec patriotic românesc apărut în timpul evenimentelor revoluționare din 1848. În 1848, Transilvania era sub stăpânirea Imperiului Austriac. Ungaria, tot sub aceeași stăpânire habsburgică decide să-și proclame independența. Ungurii din Transilvania, văzând atitudinea Ungariei, au vrut să unească Transilvania cu Ungaria. Ei au declarat în Dietă că în Transilvania există o singură națiune, cea maghiară. Ignorând dorințele și protestele celorlalte naționalități din Transilvania (românii și sașii). În aceste condiții s-a ajuns la un război civil, formând două tabere opuse. Pe de o parte erau maghiarii din Ungaria și Transilvania, care doreau formarea Ungariei Mari, iar de cealaltă parte se aflau austriecii care îşi vedeau ameninţat imperiul şi saşii şi românii care îşi vedeau ameninţată fiinţa naţională.
