Kudos to wwewwf96 for finding this for me. --------------------------------- I started watching television when I was four. It was 1999-2000 I believe, and I was introduced to Cartoon Network, and instantly fell in love. I've never seen anything like it before, having been the only source of entertainment for me at the time was my toy cars and Hot Wheels sets. I grew up with cartoons like Ed, Edd n Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, and all the other classic and original Cartoon Cartoons, even the later ones like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. I loved the shows, I thought Nickelodeon couldn't compete. I never did like Nickelodeon that much, they have some good shows but nowadays it's just all iCarly and SpongeBob. CN grew up fast, and took on a look in 2004 that blew me away and had me even more captivated. It was a CGI city, where all the cartoon characters were intertwined with each other, living in this big city made up of the settings from various shows. It was really well done and gave a more 'connected' feeling among the network. New shows came along, I liked them too. They were all good, with a few sour apples inbetween here and there but it was still a great network. 2006 I stopped watching TV a lot. Mainly because CN was on it's downfall, cancelling and replacing a lot of the originals I had once loved with newer shows like The Life and Times of Juniper Lee, Camp Lazlo, Totally Spies, etc etc. I didn't really like these. I could tolerate them, but I really wished they'd bring back a lot of their shows from the early days. Although, they ran these at hours when hardly anyone was up and I couldn't see them. From there it was just all downhill. Real live shows, a new look with Noods, really took away the personality that the network once had. To me, the name Cartoon Network doesn't really suit them anymore. While I know television shows never last, the nostalgia you have with them doesn't subside. I'm sure other people have another perspective on the whole thing with me, maybe some like Chowder, or Flapjack, or Total Drama Island. That's great, but have they ever seen Johnny Bravo? THAT'S a cartoon, not this. To me, they're the pile of trash that killed a great network. I don't even think they're deserving of the title "cartoon". CN's ratings have dropped since they cancelled Toonami, and yet they still insist on digging their own grave. Sadly, I don't think they're coming back out of it, they pretty much put the final nail in the coffin with it when they aired the last episode, and with the other series as well. How can you bring back some of them after being tossed aside for so long? Oh well. Life goes on, though, and we all must deal with losing what was once great, be it a television show or a pet hamster you loved dearly. Sucks, doesn't it? :( Music used in this video: "Machete" by Buckethead and "Ghost" by Buckethead. DISCLAIMER: I do not claim to own any of the audio or visual elements used in this video. And they took away the blank noodz or whatever you call em and just have random CN characters run around the place in ripped backgrounds. More CN Real shows are coming. Courage is the only original show still broadcasting. Johnny Bravo showed on that Johnny Johnny day. And Foster's Home got cancelled sadly. And when WB Kids got cancelled, they sent some shows to CN like Skunk Fu and Johnny Test. Skunk Fu is cancelled, decent show. The Garfield Show comes to CN, awesome show actually. And they don't have Har Har Tharsdays, You Are Here, Saturday Action Movies, and Flicks anymore. And that's all I know." - shows42nite, May 12th 2010
