Craftool D444 Leather Stamping Tool. This is a leather stamp that you can use to make more than one design with for example you can make a Meander type border or you can stamp this tool right next to itself and create a circle or stamp it end to end to make another unique leather design. In this leather stamping tutorial I show you how I use the D444 on a leather coffee coaster I am making. I have some 3 3/4" circle I have cut out and I have wet and cased the leather so it will stamp and receive the design of the leather stamp and leave a deep impression of the leather tool. It is Maker Marked CRAFTOOL D444S and you will notice in the Tandy Leather Buyers' Guide it is called D444 which is the same one I am using in this YouTube video. There are two other sizes of this stamping tool one that is smaller and that number is D443 and one that is larger and that number is D445 I think you will be pleased with all of these because they are a nice size and not to large. Craftool leather stamping tools are very affordable and are great for all kinds of leathercraft projects I use and like the ones I have on a daily basis. As you will see in the video I have cut two borders with my swivel knife so the tooling will look good and I can use the cut line for a guide so I can tool and stamp the design a little faster. Once the piece is stamped it is important to rub the piece with hands as well as shape the piece so when it dries it will be flat and finished looking.
