The Covid-19 pandemic, compounded by severe climate, economic and humanitarian crises, has created some of the worst health related setbacks for children and women. These crises underscore the urgency to reimagine health systems to deliver high quality, people-centered care. The global community has an unprecedented opportunity to invest in community health, and the frontline health and nutrition workforce, enhancing resilience and global health security, addressing gender inequities, and delivering high quality, integrated and equitable health care for millions of vulnerable children and their families. This event will call on global, regional, and national leaders to prioritize children’s health and well-being by leveraging and mobilizing political and financial commitments to strengthen community-based health and nutrition programs to secure the right to survive and thrive for every child. Achieving this ambition requires strong, resilient, and inclusive primary health care systems, appropriately resourced and grounded at community level.
