There's a new biopic about the, I can't even say early life of Donald Trump, but the early professional life about Donald Trump called The Apprentice, starring Sebastian Stan as Donald J. Trump. And it depicts a period of his life when he was mentored by Roy Cohn, the former mob lawyer who eventually was disbarred right before his death in 1986. And it also depicts the tumultuous years of his marriage to Ivana Trump, including some rather violent scenes between the two. Now, the reason we're even talking about this film is not because we're doing a review of it or talking about, you know, the accuracy of it. It's because the guy that financed the film happens to be a Trump loving billionaire by the name of Dan Snyder. The man who of course formerly owned the Washington Commander's football team and was forced to sell them after a lengthy investigation revealed some truly horrific things that Snyder had done over the course of his career. So he was forced outta the NFL, had to sell his team, but he's still a, a, a strong Trump supporter giving hundreds of thousands, if not millions, to Trump, and then forking over tons of cash to make this biopic because he thought that it would be flattering to Donald Trump, right? Why not release a wonderfully, beautifully flattering portrayal of Donald Trump right before a presidential election in which Trump is running? The problem is after this film premiered, after actually Snyder saw the first cut of it back in February, he wants the film buried. He doesn't want it to exist. He doesn't want it to be released because imagine this folks, it actually makes Donald Trump look real bad. Now I know that's a shock to everybody listening here, but, uh, yeah, apparently showing what happened in Donald Trump's life doesn't make people like him more. It actually makes him look well, to be honest, like a monster. And that's how he comes across in the film, which is based on real events. And Snyder wasn't smart enough to know that that's what would happen. I mean, you, you know, Donald Trump, you, you know the story of his life, right? It hasn't been a fairytale by any stretch of the imagination. I don't know what you expected, but apparently it wasn't this. So now Snyder has gone out there and he is asking for a cease and desist. He wants this film that he paid for to disappear, doesn't want anybody to see it, even though for the record, it got a nine minutes standing ovation at the Can Film Festival. So people like it. 'cause most people don't like Donald Trump. So, hey, you could make a lot of money off this man, I'm just saying. But it's also gonna come at the expense of Your friend. But don't worry, it's not just Dan Snyder that wants this film to go away. Donald Trump's campaign spokesperson, Stephen Chung, actually issued this statement about the film. We will be filing a lawsuit to address the blatantly false assertions from these pretend filmmakers. This garbage is pure fiction, which sensationalizes lies that have long been debunked as with the illegal Biden trials. This is election interference by Hollywood elites who know that President Trump will retake the White House and beat their candidate of choice because nothing they have done has worked.
