Amerton Steam Gala 21st June 2015

The Amerton Railway Summer Steam Gala was held on the 20th and 21st June 2015. Unfortunately I was working on the Saturday but managed to get there for Sunday's action. W G Bagnall “Isabel” and Hunslet “Jennie”,Kerr Stuart “Peter Pan”, Andew Barclay “Jack” were joined by Davenport “Ryam Sugar No. 1” from the Statfold Barn Railway. This impressive lineup of Loco's operated an intensive timetable all day on both Passenger and Goods trains. There is a great atmosphere at the Railway,and the guys that operate it are obviously enjoying what they do. Being next door to the Amerton Farm Crafts Centre, with the animals,Play areas and of course The Railway its a great day out for all the Family. If you have not been before,I would highly recommend a visit. Many Thanks to everyone at The Amerton Railway for a thoroughly enjoyable day and for making me feel so welcome.
