In this video I will show you have to make Pedestals for Halloween statues (and other statues) that will withstand heavy winds, rain and can even be set up at a bit of an angle if you are on a hill. I use two Home Depot buckets, 1/2 in PVC and 1 1/2 inch insulation board. I coat it with a special mix of monster mud that I first saw in a Vanoaksprops video. Unfortunately they look best displayed on pedestals which are not easily available. Buying pedestals quickly gets expensive, especially if you have a lot of statues. I’ve made pedestals in the past out of wood that are heavy, bulky and labor intensive to build. Last year I made some out of concrete cardboard tubes which I liked, but had mixed success out doors. The method I came up with this year will hold up in rain and wind, are relatively inexpensive. They are extremely light weight and sturdy.
