Many process heating needs are met through reticulated steam and condensate return systems, and these systems represent a significant portion of industrial energy usage, and importantly a high percentage of industrial greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. As such any improvement in steam system efficiency can contribute not only energy and cost savings for the business but also result in significant GHG emission reductions. This webinar will discuss how to get started in assessing your steam system, and in identifying the opportunities to improve the efficiency of the system as a whole, through effective optimisation of the steam demand, steam distribution and steam generation. This will lead onto subsequent webinars covering in more detail the importance of boiler chemistry, boiler tuning and detailed steam system optimisation case studies. The webinar will be of interest to energy managers, operational and maintenance personal, technical staff, and plant engineers. The webinar took place on 25 November 2015.
