After a month, we visited our Betelnut farm for routine checkup. The farm became a jungle again, full of wild grass and plants covering our beautiful Betelnut saplings and vegetables which we sowed last time. We had to clean some part of it by ourselves so that atleast our veggies grows well. This was after cyclone Remal, although it did not affect our area that much. We were lucky enough as it was getting very hot and humid, and farmers were expecting some rain to water the crops. Heaven opened up the clouds and poured us some rain and this time it seemed like monsoon came a bit too early. The weather is gloomy and cool these days. We are very blessed and happy even though we feel sad for all those who suffered from the cyclone Remal. Anyways after working for an hour or two, we decided to explore a secret place - SOTSÜ LUNGTHA, a stream where an elephant was killed. I would rather call it a sacred place as the stream was named after an elephant was killed there a long time back (ancient times). There are many streams like this in Changpang and every stream has a story behind it.
