"Tram: the Variobahn Since 2008 we have been using the Variobahn, a low-floor tram made by the rail vehicle manufacturer Stadler. Due to the approximately 30 meter long lanes, the non-barrier-free vehicles on lines 301, 306 and 310 could gradually be replaced. The vehicles have folding ramps, air conditioning and video protection. Several multifunctional areas allow for a relaxed journey, e.g. with a pram, wheelchair or walker. Based on customer feedback, for example, the seating arrangement was adjusted or comfort seats were introduced. The vehicles were equipped with a rail head wetting system and are gradually being fitted with the new BO011 wheel system.
