Filmed on 31/05/2022. Before the weeks holiday special, I decided to put on an extra outing to South Yorkshire for the day. But, on a very wet windy day at our first trainspotting location of Doncaster. (Season 9 Episode 15) LNER has upgraded their station departure boards with brand new ones with the possibility of having automated announcements included at Doncaster. But, despite the weather, it didn't stop putting Doncaster putting on an interesting show. Transpennine Express has started to introduce their driver training runs with the Nova 3 sets between Cleethorpes and Manchester Piccadilly. They are either due to start service by either September or by December at the latest. It is confirmed that the Nova 3 sets will be on: Scarborough to Manchester/Liverpool Cleethorpes to Manchester/Liverpool They were supposed to be 2 Nova 3 sets on driver training but sadly the Nova 3 set 68027 & TP01 failed at Manchester Piccadilly and was unable to to do the return journey. Since the May timetable changes, there has been some cuts to their Adwick to Sheffield services which some services runs one train every 2 hours with 2 units. Due to staff illness for Transpennine Express, Northern services between Doncaster and Sheffield became very busy for passengers to connect for Manchester and beyond to Liverpool via Northern or East Midlands Railway.
