Weight Training Workout // Full Body Strength Exercises for Seniors & Beginners

Full body strength training workout with dumbbells. I'm using 5 pound weights in this excellent workout featuring exercises for the entire body. Always start with lighter weights if you are new to working out and you can gradually increase the weight as you get stronger. After a short warm up, the first part of this workout is completed in a standing position. Here, we will work on strength building exercises for the shoulders, biceps, calves, thighs and glutes. We will do some lateral lunges as well as some curtsy lunges that are more knee friendly. You can also always keep the movement small to avoid any knee pain. We then move to the floor to work the glutes/butt more, as well as chest, triceps, upper back and core. If you are uncomfortable in a hands and knees position, you can do these exercises (leg lifts and rows for the upper back) in a standing position hinged slightly forward. The workout is completed with nice stretching to reduce any soreness and work on flexibility. Enjoy the workout and thanks for exercising with me!
