We think it’s one of the best Turkish restaurants in London! Welcome to Taste Test Tuesdays episode 6! In this episode we visit Gokyuzu located at 1 Leisure Way, Finchley, N12 0QZ. They have 4 restaurants in London – Walthamstow, Chingford, Finchley and Green Lanes. Finchley is the biggest of the restaurants. It can seat 380 people inside and another 100 outside. Gökyüzü is owned and run by the Yavuz family who have 20 years’ experience of recreating the mouth-watering dishes that they first tasted in their grandparents’ kitchen in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. Gökyüzü means 'sky' in Turkish, and lovers of the fresh tastes and uplifting flavours of the Mediterranean will find the food heavenly. From succulent kebabs and a huge array of meat dishes to freshly caught seafood and wide selection of Turkish pizzas (pide), mezes, mixed platters, daily stews, speciality soups and amazingly fresh salads… everything is homemade using well-sourced ingredients. Fresh Turkish breads, dips, and your first cup of Turkish tea, are complimentary for every table. You won’t find a more authentically Turkish, and more hospitable, restaurant in London.
